In the Studio: Part Deuce

More progress to report on the vintage pieces. So far so good, Elizabeth and I have almost finished printing all the fabric for the pieces, which is nearly 18 yards. I have been sleeping very good after 8-10 hours of printing a day, majorly hard labor, I tell ya. One of our pieces is 6 colors. Yes, we are crazy!! Here's a few iphone picts.

In the Studio

Elizabeth Kumor of Repose Interiors (I designed her website!) and I have been busy working on custom fabric designs for a few vintage pieces. Check out some of our progress. Stay tuned for more details . . . .

Here's a photo of one of the sofas we are transforming. It has such classic shape and is going to be fabulous when done.

We are using 100% organic cotton fabric for our pieces and water based inks-no yucky chemicals involved.

Back Tracking

Hello all. Guilty as charged. I have been neglectful of my blog I so passionately set up a few months ago.

A lot has happened this year. In addition to freelancing, I've taken on a large collaborative project with Elizabeth Kumor of Repose Interiors. She and I have been designing and hand printing fabrics for furniture and accessories. We have an upcoming show in September for the reveal of our hard work. Stay tuned for more details. In the meantime I'll fill you in on a few other things.

After taking classes for a few years in the textiles department at Lillstreet Art Center, I finally kinda know what I'm doing and am helping maintain the studio a few hours a week and contributing to the Textiles' blog. I absolutely love Lillstreet and have met so many great people. I've learned a boat load of new skills to enhance my personal work. I've also participated in a few craft shows in the Midwest, showcasing goods from my etsy shop, INDRIYA.

Enough about me. Here are a few inspirational picts from my trip to Paris last fall. I want to go back!!
